The Byte 2.0 is the ideal private home computer. Its small and compact design allows it to be discreetly mounted behind your monitor, creating a sleek and minimalist office setup. Powered by an Intel Alder Lake N200 processor and configurable with up to 32GB of RAM, the Byte 2.0 delivers exceptional performance for a wide range of applications.

 

Built with advanced security in mind, the Byte Mk II features coreboot firmware and Secure Boot.


Connectivity options include: USB-C, HDMI, DisplayPort, and dual Ethernet ports, with support for dual 4k displays.

 

This Privacy Academy bundle includes Zorin OS Pro preloaded, a simple and intuitive Linux operating system designed for privacy and ease of use. Perfect for beginners, it ensures a smooth transition to Linux. Also included is a free USB Recovery drive if you ever need to repair or recover your installation.

 

Additionally, the device comes pre-loaded with a suite of privacy-oriented applications hand-picked by Glenn Meder. As part of the bundle, you’ll also receive Glenn’s comprehensive course "Private Computers Made Easy" along with a live Q&A training session to make your transition to Linux seamless and stress-free.

Your Byte will come with 512GB Gen3 PCIe SSD storage by default, which features a sequential read speed of up to 3370MB/s. Over-provisioning increases performance and IOPS (Input/Output Operations per Second) whilst enhancing reliability and endurance.

You can configure it with 4TB Gen3 PCIe SSD storage, giving you more storage capacity and increased performance with sequential read speeds up to 3370MB/s.

You can upgrade or replace the SSD; this requires a small Philips screwdriver.
